Resumen: La literatura es un ejercicio que debe ser cultivado alentado, por ello el Ayuntamiento de Mérida, Yucatán, asumiendo una de sus tareas principales, apoyar las manifestaciones culturales de la comunidad, convocó al Premio de Poesía y Cuento Mérida ’98, en marzo de ese año.<br/>La respuesta al certamen fue amplia, se recibieron 190 trabajos en total, entre los cuales fueron escogidos los ganadores, a quienes se premió el 30 de mayo de 1998 en el salón de cabildos del ayuntamiento meridano.<br/>La publicación que hoy se ofrece al público, contiene los trabajos ganadores de ambos géneros. De esta forma, el Ayuntamiento de Mérida, Yucatán, cumple con su compromiso de fomentar y difundir la cultura entre los meridanos, y los yucatecos en general.<br/><br/> |
